Privacy Policy | Quickar: Automotive Mechanics
This policy explains what data Quickar handles, how it is used, and what choices you have. It should be read together with the Google Play Console Data safety section; both must describe the same practices.
1. Summary
Quickar is an educational automotive mechanics app. It does not require an account. Most lesson content works offline. Preferences and local app data are stored on your device. Quickar does not send your study activity to the developer’s servers.
If the app shows ads or offers in-app purchases, Google Play and Google AdMob may collect data under their own policies when the app uses the internet.
2. Data stored on your device
Quickar may store locally on your phone or tablet only:
- App preferences (language, theme, display settings).
- Reading or study progress within the app.
- Search history or bookmarks you create inside the app.
- Cached lesson content for offline use.
This data is used to display content, remember your preferences, and support offline study. It is not sold or shared with Nebulaz Apps through an app-owned server.
Quickar does not request your name, address, phone number, contacts, precise location, vehicle identification number (VIN), or credentials to connect to your car’s ECU.
3. Data third parties may collect
When the app uses the internet, these services may process data:
Google AdMob (if the app shows ads):
- Android advertising ID (you can reset or limit it in system settings).
- Device and app technical data (e.g. model, OS version, language).
- Ad interaction (impressions, clicks).
- Diagnostics and performance data (e.g. crashes, load times).
- Data used to serve ads, measure campaigns, and prevent fraud.

Google Play (if you make in-app purchases):
- Google processes payment and transaction data.
- Quickar does not store card numbers or full payment details.

4. Offline content
Educational lessons and OBD2 reference material are designed to be available without a constant internet connection once installed or downloaded. Offline content stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app.
5. Advertising
If the app shows ads, they may be personalized or not depending on your region, Android settings, and your Google account privacy options.
In the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, Google requires consent through a CMP compatible with IAB TCF where required by law.
You can limit personalized ads in: Android Settings → Google → Ads, and in your Google account privacy settings.
6. Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect data on the device. No system is 100% secure. Protect your device and screen lock.
7. Retention and deletion
To delete local Quickar data you can:
- Clear app preferences or history inside the app, if available.
- Go to Settings → Apps → Quickar → Storage → Clear data.
- Uninstall the app (local data is removed from the device).
Data processed by AdMob or Google Play is governed by their tools and policies. Use Play Console and your Google account to manage purchases or ad privacy.
8. Children
Quickar is not directed at children under 13. If you are a minor, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated if features, ads, purchases, or Google Play requirements change. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the published version, as allowed by law.
