Terms of Use
Terms of Use | Melodiax
By downloading, installing, or using Melodiax you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application. The English text on this page is authoritative.
1. Who provides Melodiax
Melodiax is provided by Nebulaz Apps. You can reach us through comments on our Google Play listings.
2. What Melodiax is
Melodiax is a local, offline-oriented music player for Android. It plays audio files already stored on your device or removable storage. It does not provide, host, stream, sell, or distribute music content of its own.
Melodiax is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Phonograph, Retro Music Player, Metro, or their maintainers. Do not contact those projects for Melodiax support.
3. Intended audience
Melodiax is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you allow a minor to use the device, you are responsible for supervising how files are obtained and how the app is used.
4. No music service or content license
Melodiax is software only. It does not grant you any license to music, artwork, or other media. Any rights you need to possess or play audio files must come from you and from lawful sources—not from Melodiax.
5. Your responsibilities
You alone are responsible for the audio files and related media you play with Melodiax.
- You represent that you have the legal right to possess and play those files on your device.
- You agree not to use Melodiax for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
- Nebulaz Apps is not responsible for websites, stores, messaging apps, file hosts, torrents, or any other source from which you obtain music.
6. Local edits, backups, and device storage
Features such as tag editing, artwork changes, playlist or settings export, and profile images may modify or create files on your device when you use them. You are responsible for those changes and for keeping your own backups. Nebulaz Apps is not liable for data loss from edits, exports, imports, uninstalls, or device failures.
7. Optional browser, share sheet, and third-party apps
Some optional features may open the system browser, another app, or the Android share sheet when you choose (for example, searching the web for lyrics, or sharing a file). Melodiax does not control those third parties. Your use of them is at your own risk and under their terms.
8. Open source license (GPLv3)
Melodiax is free software under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3). Corresponding Source for distributed binaries is offered on the Melodiax app page, including a versioned source archive. In-app Open Source Licenses lists third-party and lineage credits by name and license.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the GPLv3. Where these terms and the GPLv3 conflict with respect to your rights in the software code, the GPLv3 controls for those rights.
9. Attribution and trademarks
Mentioning upstream or third-party projects for attribution does not grant trademark rights to Phonograph, Retro Music Player, Metro, Material Design, or any other brand.
10. No warranty
Melodiax is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. There is no guarantee it is error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or file format. This is consistent with the GPLv3 disclaimer of warranty.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nebulaz Apps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from use of (or inability to use) the app—including issues related to audio files obtained elsewhere, third-party sites or apps you open, share actions, local edits, or device configuration.
12. Changes to the app and these terms
Features may change, and these terms may be updated. The current version is the one published at this URL. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms, as allowed by law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and content-responsibility terms) survive termination.
14. Contact
For questions about these terms, use the developer contact on our Contact. Please do not send Melodiax support or legal questions to upstream project maintainers.
